Requirement:

  • Valid CH.CK Certificate
  • 18 months seagoing experience as 2nd cook on Company vessels with recommendation for promotion.
  • New recruit at least 12 months seagoing experience as CH.CK with good references.
  • Age between 25 and 45 (upon first appointment in rank)
  • Familiarity with ordering and preparing multinational cuisines (included experience with European cuisine).
  • Capability of handling provision accounting and administration
  • To be conversant with budgetary control, stock control, ordering, storing system etc.
  • Be familiar with the operations and maintenance of all catering and galley equipment
  • Ability to undertake ships clerical work, accounts and port papers
  • English ability
    - Able to have a normal English conversation
    - Able to express ideas and instructions in writing
    - Comprehending Maritime English at a level commensurate with the function.
  • Nationalities Indonesians.
